SPECIAL BOARD MEETING AGENDA

Thursday, January 13th, 2022, 6:00 P.M.

 

Please note-this meeting is to review the findings of the consulting firm that was hired by the town to inspect and rate all town roads, inventory all culverts and signage, enter all road ratings in the D.O.T. website as required by law every two years, provide a computer based comprehensive mapping of all above information and recommend a road work schedule to the Town Board.  The public is welcome to attend and may ask questions at the end of the initial presentation.

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Presentation by Delmore Consulting to report their findings on Town roads, culverts, and signage
  • Public comments/questions -(Limited to 5 minutes per person)                                                                                                 
  • Recommended roadwork for 2022 and beyond as supported by Delmore Consulting’s findings
  • Other recommendations from Delmore’s findings
  • Discussion and decision on hiring Delmore for 2022 to continue providing consultant work to the Town.

PLEASE NOTE-The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will have representatives at this meeting for the purpose of discussing possible solutions to the Highway 40 safety issues that the Town Board and Lower Long Lake Protection District have brought to their attention regarding speed zones, pedestrians, and truck traffic.  Any member of the public wishing to speak at the meeting is welcome to attend.  If anyone wishes to send written comment, please address your correspondence to Clerk Darla Butterfield, 10770 270th Ave, New Auburn, WI, 54757.  All written correspondence received by January 10th will be considered at the meeting.

Please note that this meeting will begin with a Christmas Dinner for elected officials, town employees, and their spouses at Max’s on the Lake.  No town business will be conducted at Max’s on the Lake.  All meals will be paid by each individual attending; no town funds will be expended.  The meeting will then move to the Sampson Town Hall for the regular monthly meeting which will begin at 6:00 p.m.
